Finding mental health services, counseling, and support
  • All employees and their families: SupportLinc can help you and your family through all seasons of life. Let SupportLinc be your guide when you are experiencing depression, facing a big life change, or need help with anxiety, grief or other emotional challenges. They can also enhance your everyday well-being when things are going well. Transamerica offers up to six free counseling sessions through SupportLinc. They can also help you find counselors, schedule sessions, and have online resources to support your mental well-being. Access SupportLinc online or by calling 1-888-881-5462.
  • All covered employees: Schedule confidential counseling sessions either virtually or in person, depending on your preference, through your health insurance network.
  • Wellmark plans: Coordinate with Behavioral Health Care Case Management who will work closely with those who have or are at risk for disorders such as substance abuse, major depressive disorder, inpatient treatment of suicidal ideation and anxiety.
  • UnitedHealthcare plans: Use the Calm Health program and mobile app for mental health screenings, personalized coaching and therapy referrals, plus daily self-care content.
  • Kaiser plans: Access self-care apps like Calm and Headspace through Kaiser’s wellness directory to navigate life’s challenges, and make small changes to improve your sleep, mood, relationship, and more.

Transamerica offers 15 days of paid parental leave to employees with one or more years of service. Birth parents use this along with Short-Term Disability to have extra time to recover.
